On Monday 7th January, a selection of LCF MA Menswear students showed their collections at the stunning location of St George’s Church, Bloomsbury, London. To take a look at the show behind the scenes visit the LCF Youtube channel here.

As part of London Fashion Week Mens, which took place over the weekend across the capital, the LCF MA19 Menswear catwalk show hosted 160 guests made up of industry and press contacts.

Set in the backdrop of a beautiful church, each collection was walked through the pews accompanied by different pieces of music, sung by mezzo soprano, Phoebe Haines. The tracks were performed in a mixture of languages including, Latin, French and Mandarin.
Phoebe wore a dress from last year’s 2019 preview and performed in the pulpit.

Each model had the same makeup with their hair natural or slicked back and looked in unison as one collection flowed into the other. With 30 male models in total, the casting for the shows takes a couple of days to find the perfect fit for the people to the clothes.

As sustainability is at the forefront of education within London College of Fashion, we made the fashion show as sustainable as possible. Working with Bacchus, we undertook a waste audit to make sure everything from the curtains, carpet and lab coats to the models food and audience drinks, was recycled and re-used. Making the MA19 Menswear as waste free as possible.
